Chapter I
The music room at home
Aamir is the son of Osman Mir, the vocalist from Kutch known for Sufi, ghazal and Gujarati folk. His early and formal training came from his father, and the family’s own biography describes him learning from Osman Mir with his mind set on the same path.

Jugalbandi, father and son
His channel describes the duets he sings with his father as jugalbandi. The two share concert stages, from a live set in Gandhidham posted on Osman Mir’s channel to the REACH Virasat Festival in October 2025.

A sound of his own
In 2023 he released Khud Hai Fanaa, an official video on his own channel with music production by Gaurang Pala. The two also record studio versions of Hindi film songs such as Chitthiye, Bairiya and Moh Na Laage.

The Navratri stage
For Navratri 2022 he sang Dhol with Amit Trivedi and Asees Kaur, released on 21 September. A year later he joined Osman Mir and Amit Trivedi on Maari Maavadi for Salim–Sulaiman’s Bhoomi 2023, and sat down with Salim Merchant to talk about it in Gujarati.
